The Tillandsia Magnusiana is a gentle and perhaps the most grayish species within the epiphyte family. With its many and thin hairy leaves that have a spherical appearance, the Magnusiana is unique in its kind. Because of to the flatter bottom and leaves that keep the plant balanced, the Tillandsia Magnusiana is easy to put down steadily and therefore very easy to use in various decorations.
The Tillandsia Magnusiana grows only in a limited number of countries in the wild. As it grows in the south and west of Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Corsa plant also cultivates this Tillandsia species on its farms in Central America, and ships the Tillandsia Magnusianas to the Netherlands before the plant begins with its flowering phase.
The Tillandsia Ionantha Scaposa is one of the multiple Ionantha air plants that we are having available for sale on our Tillandsia webshop. This particular Ionantha air plant distinguishes itself by a longer shape than the other Ionanthas. The leaves of the Ionantha Ionantha and the Ionantha Rubra are kind of falling down in bulb form, where those of this air plant keep up and stiff making the Ionantha Scaposa a long-formed air plant. With its beautiful light green color, this plant could be used perfectly in arrangements and bouquets for example.
The Tillandsia Ionantha Scaposa requires very few care just like the other Ionantha species. This air plant likes to be sprayed +- once a week.
The Tillandsia Stricta is native to Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Suriname, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, northern Argentina, growing either on both the sands of beach dunes and in trees. This air plant is an evergreen, clump-forming and short-stemmed Tillandsia species with leaves arranged into thick rosettes. The Tillandsia Stricta could differ from soft leaved specimens to much harder, stiffer types and different coloured forms from light green leaves to silvery leaves.
