    Argentea

    The Tillandsia Argentea originally grows in dry areas in Mexico, Guatemala, Cuba and Jamaica. This Air Plant grows as a single, as well as in clusters of multiples of the same species and has very thin silver(ish)-leaves. The Tillandsia Argentea barely has roots and mostly grows on rocks and trees. The leaves of this air plant grow in a loose way and the spike of the plant grows purple flowers from the centre. The Tillandsia Argentea is very easy to care for and to use in bouquets, arrangements and other decorational purposes for example. This air plant likes an airy and a bright/light environment the most. Besides that, it likes to be sprayed once or twice a week, depending on the humidity.

    The Tillandsia Fasciculata is mostly known for its bigger size within the family of Air Plants. It is also referred to as the giant airplant or cardinal airplant. This air plant species originally grows in Central America, Mexico, parts of South America and even Southern states within the United States. The Fasciculata could also grow a very beautiful red/purple flower, whereas we get these air plants before the flowering stage to our main location in The Netherlands where the cultivating continues. We are happy to provide you with this unique Fasciculata air plant, as it comes in two different sizes.

    Juncea

    The Tillandsia Juncea is a relatively long and narrow species within the Tillandsia family. With its thin green leaves and a height of 30-40 centimeters, the Tillandsia Juncea is very suitable for tall vases and decoration. This plant can efflorescence well below average care , and so there will grow a nice and powerful purplish flower from the center. Generally, the Juncea grows and flourishes relatively slow when compared to other Tillandsia species. Sometimes it takes almost a year before the non blossomed flower entirely ceased blossoming. The Tillandsia juncea is native to Central America, Mexico and parts of South America. Since the flowering stage is a long process with this plant, this species is often brought to Holland before but also during the flowering stage. Here, the cultivation process is further prosecuted on the location of Corsa Plant in De Lier.

    Magnusiana

    The Tillandsia Magnusiana is a gentle and perhaps the most grayish species within the epiphyte family. With its many and thin hairy leaves that have a spherical appearance, the Magnusiana is unique in its kind. Because of to the flatter bottom and leaves that keep the plant balanced, the Tillandsia Magnusiana is easy to put down steadily and therefore very easy to use in various decorations. The Tillandsia Magnusiana grows only in a limited number of countries in the wild. As it grows in the south and west of Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Corsa plant also cultivates this Tillandsia species on its farms in Central America, and ships the Tillandsia Magnusianas to the Netherlands before the plant begins with its flowering phase.

    Medusae

    The Tillandsia Medusae is a unique plant in the Tillandsia species. The shape and form of this species is certainly rare and so the plant is named after this. With the thicker head (caput) on the bottom and the wonderful firmly curly leaves, the Tillandsia Medusae is compared to a female figure from the Greek mythology. Medusa, the woman with snakes as hair, which are quite similar in its turn with the curly leaves of this kind of Tillandsia. Other common names alongside Tillandsia Medusae are also Medusa’s head and octopus plant. This air plant is native to Central America and Mexico. The Tillandsia Medusaes are shipped from the farms in Central America to Corsa Plants main location in De Lier, where we continue taking care of these plants and an average plant height of 15 centimeters is achieved for the Tillandsia Medusae. During spring or early summer, a beautiful violet-colored flower oftenly grows from the middle of this air plant.

This air plant is a middle-sized and wide species, and it has beautiful green colored leaves which fall sidewise. It could be used in perfectly in bouquets, arrangements or other floral decorations.     The Tillandsia Ionantha Scaposa is one of the multiple Ionantha air plants that we are having available for sale on our Tillandsia webshop. This particular Ionantha air plant distinguishes itself by a longer shape than the other Ionanthas. The leaves of the Ionantha Ionantha and the Ionantha Rubra are kind of falling down in bulb form, where those of this air plant keep up and stiff making the Ionantha Scaposa a long-formed air plant. With its beautiful light green color, this plant could be used perfectly in arrangements and bouquets for example. The Tillandsia Ionantha Scaposa requires very few care just like the other Ionantha species. This air plant likes to be sprayed +- once a week.

    Stricta

    The Tillandsia Stricta is native to Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Suriname, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, northern Argentina, growing either on both the sands of beach dunes and in trees. This air plant is an evergreen, clump-forming and short-stemmed Tillandsia species with leaves arranged into thick rosettes. The Tillandsia Stricta could differ from soft leaved specimens to much harder, stiffer types and different coloured forms from light green leaves to silvery leaves.

    Usneoides

    The Tillandsia Usneoides, also known as Spanish moss, is a plant without roots from the epiphyte family. This plant gets its water and nutrients through its leaves from the (moist) air and raindrops. The Tillandsia Usneoides has curly grayish and long down-growing leaves that mostly hang over the branches of trees. The beauty of this kind is that it spreads itself and living area by the help of Mother Nature. Mainly by wind or birds, this air plant is being moved and spread to other branches for example and so continues to develop and grow in other places, which is very different from our other air plants. The Tillandsia Usneoides mostly lives in tropical areas with high humidity and under the right circumstances can grow to a length of 1 to 2 meters! The original habitat of this plant ranges from Argentina to southeastern United States.
